Dear Abdul
Last time I wrote on here I mentioned I was sick with a mystery illness, now I finally got my parents to take me to a doctor, whilst we waited in the waiting room a man and his son (who I later learned was named Abdul) were staring at me.
After describing my symptoms, getting my blood pressure, height, and weight taken we were instructed to wait in the waiting room again, Abdul’s father kept staring at me and talking about Canada, on the T.V. there was a rap video sang in Punjabi which was honestly really cool, I need to find the video and listen to it again, I think one of the Doctors / Nurses put it on.
After being led into room #3, I was prescribed Brompheniramine a cough syrup (10 mL every 6 hours) and Azithromycin an antibiotic (1 tablet for 5 days), I’ve already finished the antibiotic and my body is recovering from its effects, I feel really weak, the cough syrup has helped a lot though, I no longer wake up with a stuffy nose and my levels of phlegm have lowered.
Abdul and his father had left before me and after travelling to the pharmacy to pick up my precription, I saw them again and they kept staring at me, I had overheard the pharmacist talk about Abdul’s prescription, it honestly surprises me how much I know about some patient who I barely even met in the middle of the night.
We did waste time trying to get some nail polish my mom wanted, which was available at the pharmacy, but what makes me angry is that she didn’t end up buying it thanks to the “rude” cashier who explained that online coupons did not work in this store, 30 minutes of browsing the stalls gone to waste.
This was all a wierd experience, I do feel better now though.
I hope Abdul is alright.
